2009-2011 “Wallada” ( 6’), development of a short experimental film

  • Synopsis: A visual and musical poem, mixing paintings, murals, calligraphy, mosaics, poems and Arab-Andalusian songs. Loosely based on the life and work of poet and Princess Wallada, daughter of the last Umayyad Caliph of Cordoba in the eleventh century. A fascinating woman, the last glimmer of a civilization in decline, who fought for her independence and freedom.
