Bio

Nathalie is an award winning VR creative and animation and documentary shorts director. Over the past four years she contributed to over 35 cinematic Virtual Reality projects and trained dozens of professionals. She uses her expertise in films visual effects, animation and interactive media to develop cutting-edge immersive experiences.

Nathalie runs NativeVR, a VR studio focused on celebrating diversity, in which she created UTURN, a VR series on gender equality in the tech industry. She previously contributed to Zero Point, the first VR documentary made for the Oculus Rift headset by Condition One in 2013. As Jaunt’s Director of Creative Technology from 2014 to 2016, Nathalie post-produced many 3D 360 videos, including “Paul McCartney in concert”, “The North Face Climbers”, and “The North Face Nepal”.

After a successful career as a NASA AI research scientist during the 1990s, Nathalie became a documentary and an animation filmmaker. For twelve years, she worked for major studios in France, London and Vancouver, as one of the few female artists creating visual effects on feature films. Her credits include Cannes award-winner Persepolis, The Dark Knight Rises, Skyfall, Les Miserables, Captain Phillips and Fast and Furious 6.

Nathalie holds a Ph.D. in Computer Sciences from the National School of Space and Aeronautics in France, and an M.A. in European Media from the University of Portsmouth, UK. She is a member of Women in VR and a 360 video instructor at the Bay Area Video Coalition.
